Vintage Japan Faux Pearl Beaded Collar Necklace, Statement Bib

Striking vintage faux pearl collar necklace featuring hundreds of hand-applied beads in graduated sizes. Tiny round beads, larger faux pearls, and elongated rice-shaped beads form an ornate dimensional design with a softly scalloped outer edge.

The warm ivory and champagne tones give the collar an elegant aged appearance. It is constructed on a satin-backed fabric collar and marked JAPAN on the reverse.

This is a dramatic vintage statement piece that would be beautiful for display, theatrical costuming, photography styling, vintage fashion collections, or decorative use.

CONDITION
Vintage condition with noticeable age-related wear. The front presents beautifully from a normal viewing distance, but close inspection shows finish loss on many beads, including peeling, flaking, spotting, discoloration, and surface wear. Some beads have areas where the pearlescent coating has worn away.

The satin backing has visible staining, spotting, wrinkling, discoloration, and general wear. No obvious missing beads were observed.

Please review all photographs carefully, including the close-up bead photos, backing, closures, and Japan label, as they are an important part of the description. This piece has not been aggressively cleaned in order to avoid further damage to the vintage finish.
