Vintage Astroworld Felt Pennant, Houston Amusement Park, Astroneedle

A full-size vintage felt pennant from Astroworld, Houston's beloved amusement park, which opened in 1968 and closed in 2005. Deep purple felt with a golden yellow header and ties, the groovy ASTROWORLD lettering, and colorful scenes of the park: the Astroneedle tower, a sleigh ride through the mountains, a spinning ride and a little race car. It reads "Astroworld" alone, without the later Six Flags name, so it appears to be from the park's early years. A great piece of Houston history and a fun one for anyone who rode the rides.
